Follow the Leader: Selling to College Students

I am brand “A” and I love to be known. Only when people know me will they buy me and enjoy my use. I am a clothing brand and promise comfort along with style. As I am casual in appearance, I appeal mostly to college students who would prefer casual and comfortable clothing for their day to day needs. What’s more, my price fits their pockets too. However, the problem here is “How will students know about me?” “Will they come to me or will I have to go to them?”

The Challenge

Welcome to one of the most overwhelming problems faced by most brands, products, and services. Regardless of how good or well-priced the product is, students will buy it only when they hear about it from their friends or peers. Students, unlike other demographics, are most influenced by their peers and friends and not by advertisements and marketing campaigns.

Hiring student brand ambassadors is a great way to spread the word about a product or brand among college students. Engaging, influential students with a large network can spread the message about the brand on behalf of the company. They can send the company message in a way students will respond to it. They will sell the product in a way that students will want to buy it. Just like that students will be lining up to be a part of it.

Identifying these engaging students may not be a marketer’s forte. Promotional staffing companies like Atlas College Marketing have the expertise to identify, recruit, and train these students for the job. They are bound to bring results. College marketing campaigns are successful when the ambassadors are engaging and influential so contact Atlas College Marketing to reach and engage your target market: www.atlascollegemarketing.com
